Meet the Team

President and Principal Engineer

Mike Mattingly, PE

A licensed civil engineer with more than 30 years of experience, Mike brings a broad and practical background to the field. His work spans the planning, design, and analysis of diverse projects, including geotechnical, environmental, stormwater management, waste management, and transportation efforts.

Throughout his career, he has led complex initiatives that require both technical precision and practical problem-solving, helping clients navigate challenging site conditions while delivering reliable solutions. His leadership and dedication have been central to the firm’s success.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Kentucky. He is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Kentucky Geotechnical Engineering Group, a graduate of Leadership PE, and the 2005 recipient of the NSPE-KY Young Engineer of the Year award.

He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.

Ben Mattingly

Project Designer

Ben joined the team in December 2025 as a Project Designer. He brings a strong background in creative problem solving, allowing him to efficiently analyze site conditions, develop preliminary wall designs, prepare quantity estimates, and assist with preparation of final design drawings.

In addition to supporting client projects, Ben leads the firm's photography and videography efforts, capturing the visual content that showcases our work and brand. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Management from the University of Kentucky.

Jackson Riney, EIT, MBA

Project Engineer

Jackson is an Engineer in Training working toward his Professional Engineer (PE) license. Since joining the company in May 2024, he has been involved in designing and calculating retaining wall systems, collaborating with clients, and gaining valuable field experience through on-site visits.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Kentucky. Jackson is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the ASCE Geotechnical Institute.
